Wishing is a surprisingly simple and effective method. Just say ‘I wish…’ followed by an idea. Read the following two statements and notice carefully inside your head how they affect you differently:
What tends to happen is that the second statement creates more tension,
challenging you to think of other ideas to make the wish come true. You could
also use phrases that will act in a similar way, such as ‘Wouldn’t it be nice
if…’, although ‘I wish…’ is probably the shortest version. Parts in this section are:
